Blogger Spotlight: Laura B. of Walking in Memphis in High Heels.
Hey CBville! We love a girl with great style, so every month our Blogger Spotlight series will highlight some of the cool, crazy beautiful style bloggers that we follow. Playing dress up is never boring, so it's a chance for these blogger babes to show us how they'd style our new arrivals while also highlighting their personal style.
This month's feature is with Laura Boswell of the uber popular Walking in Memphis in High Heels. One of the the sweetest girls we know (+ have you seen her daughter Leighton? Ah-dorable!), we love how she plays with modern pieces but still evokes that Southern Charm. Take a peek at how she styled looks featuring some of our new pieces from Endless Rose, BlankNYC, and more while filling us in on what personal style means to her, and what her blog is all about.
Style is more than just the clothing you pick up off a clothing rack. Style is how you mix and match pieces to wear together. And most importantly, style is about how the clothes can completely transform everything about you from the way you look and feel to the way you carry yourself and present yourself to the world with an added boost of confidence.
My personal style is all over the place (just like my home décor style). I have an appreciation for most all types of style, just like the art that it is, but I am generally drawn towards outfits that are classic and girly with a little glam and a touch of edge.
Walking in Memphis in High Heels is the tidbits that I love most in life - family, style, fitness, travel and food. From how to wear white for fall to tips to dealing with a picky eater toddler, my blog is about my life and what I am constantly learning everyday. I hope readers will enjoy getting a glimpse into my life and finding fun ways to inject some new life into those pieces of clothing in your closet.
My favorite place to find great style inspiration is Pinterest. There are so many great places and people to find inspiration from, but with a toddler running around, the quickest and easiest way is to scroll through Pinterest, and I am instantly inspired to create and mix some fun new looks.
I fell in love with this pretty black dress. It had a bit of a washed and worn feel to the fabric, and I thought it looked so cool and comfy. I decided to wear it as a top with the softest pair of gray frayed hem skinny jeans, some leopard print heels and a cool jacket with a great bohemian vibe to it.
It was very typical of my style mixing some classic and casual pieces with some dressier and edgier pieces to give the whole look an eclectic vibe.
